Grimkes: part of the women's rights movement, emphasis on women's right to speak publicly. Women's rights and abolition.

Sojourner Truth: freed black slave, acted on behalf of women's rights and abolition.

Elizabeth Cady Stanton: attended the world anti-slavery movement in England and was made to sit seperately. Organized Seneca Falls Convetion with Lucretia Mott. Primary author of Declaration of Sentiments. Born into a wealthy family.

Seneca Falls Convention: first public meeting about women's rights.

Declaration of Sentiments: presented the case for women's rights.

Lucy Stone: leader at Seneca Falls Convention, public speaker, anti-slavery society.

Susan B. Anthony: equal pay for women.
